About The Position
Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide patient-centered care in patients’ homes in the Greeneville, Tennessee area, covering Hamblen, Cocke, and Hawkins counties. This PRN role involves evaluating and treating speech and language difficulties, supporting patients’ communication abilities, and guiding patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members to help patients continue making progress outside therapy sessions. The position offers one-to-one patient care, flexible scheduling, independent work with team support, and opportunities for advancement.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
- At least one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where practicing.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ speech or language difficulties and determine the need for continued therapy services.
- Teach patients to make sounds and improve their voices.
- Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
- Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises that support progress outside direct therapy sessions.
- Document patient progress, clinical notes, and responses to therapy, and submit visit documentation according to agency policy.
