About The Position
Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide patient-centered home health care in Cullman, Alabama, with coverage across Cullman, Blount, and Marshall counties. This PRN role provides one-to-one care in patients’ homes, with flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work independently while receiving team support. The position focuses on evaluating and treating speech and language difficulties, supporting patients and caregivers, and documenting progress and clinical notes in accordance with agency policy.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
- At least one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where practicing.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ speech or language difficulties and determine the need for continued therapy services.
- Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve their voices.
- Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
- Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises that support progress outside direct therapy sessions.
- Document patient progress and clinical notes, including responses to therapy, and submit visit documentation according to agency policy.
