About The Position
Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide patient-centered care in Greenville, Alabama, with coverage in Butler, Lowndes, Crenshaw, and Covington counties. This PRN position provides one-to-one care in patients’ homes, with flexible scheduling, independent work, and team support. The role involves evaluating speech and language difficulties, providing therapy, educating patients and caregivers, and documenting clinical progress.
Requirements
- Minimum of a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
- At least one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where practicing.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ speech and language difficulties and determine whether continued therapy services are needed.
- Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
- Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
- Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises that support continued progress outside direct therapy sessions.
- Document patient progress and clinical responses to therapy, and submit visit documentation according to agency policy.
