About The Position
Adoration Home Health is seeking a passionate, dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide expert, patient-centered care in patients’ homes. The role is based out of the Greeneville, Tennessee office and covers Hamblen, Cocke, and Hawkins counties. The schedule is PRN, with flexible scheduling options. The position provides one-to-one patient care, opportunities to work independently with team support, and the potential to make a lasting impact on patients and families. Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, provides compassionate services in the home and support for patients, families, and caregivers. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
- At least one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where practicing.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ speech or language difficulties and determine whether continued therapy services are needed.
- Teach patients to make sounds and improve their voices.
- Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
- Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress outside direct therapy sessions.
- Document patient progress and clinical notes, including responses to therapy, and submit visit documentation according to agency policy.
