About The Position
Cavalier Distributing Company is hiring a Specialty Beverage Delivery Driver to safely and courteously deliver craft beer, wine, and other beverage products to bars, restaurants, and retail accounts in a box truck. The driver represents Cavalier to customers and is expected to uphold the company’s professional standards. The position offers a four-day work week and hourly total compensation of $22.50–$23.50, based on experience. Drivers use a fleet of new trucks equipped with liftgates and telematics. Full-time benefits include PTO accruing from the start date, with additional benefits available after 60 days; the company also offers a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments.
Requirements
- Hold a valid, unexpired driver’s license and have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Thoroughly understand traffic laws and demonstrate a commitment to defensive driving.
- Have excellent communication skills and a customer service orientation.
- Have basic numerical skills for order and delivery paperwork.
- Be willing to take and pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Be able to bend and stoop.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles safely and comply with DOT safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Load, unload, and maneuver beverage products, generally weighing between 30 and 165 pounds.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report safety issues.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and handle cash management duties with integrity.
- Provide exceptional customer service to delivery accounts.
