About The Position

The Specialty Beauty Advisor – Lancôme is responsible for maximizing sales of the Lancôme brand, including color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance. The role engages guests to understand their individual needs, assists with merchandise selection and purchases, and maintains store standards, including cleanliness and replenishment. The advisor represents Ulta Beauty and Lancôme, supporting the Experience Manager through sales and in-store events, guest service and associate culture, and operating procedures and compliance. The position requires passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge.

The advisor drives sales and customer relationships through personalized service, makeup applications, skincare analysis, product demonstrations, appointments, events, follow-up, and knowledge of products, trends, promotions, and services. The role also contributes to an inclusive and collaborative store environment, participates in brand training, and follows company policies and operating standards. Operational duties include maintaining the Lancôme area and other assigned spaces, completing merchandise resets and inventory procedures, processing shipments, and following loss prevention practices.

The schedule is flexible and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Working conditions involve frequent mobility and standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting; continuous lifting or moving of up to 10 pounds; and continuous coordination and manipulation of objects. The listed pay range is $17.00–$25.50 per hour. Full-time associates are eligible for paid time off and health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; part-time associates are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.

Requirements

• High school diploma is preferred.
• Cosmetology or demonstrator license where required by state law.
• Demonstrates significant competency in sales, products, and service.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle guest concerns positively and proactively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attend brand-sponsored trainings.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed Lancôme brand sales and clientele goals and contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omnichannel, and retail shrink.
• Greet and engage guests, personalize service, offer samples, and recommend complementary products or services.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demonstrations.
• Stay current on prestige training and product, service, and industry trends, including product ingredients and benefits.
• Book appointments and support services and in-store events that deliver a strong guest experience and meet sales goals.
• Build customer relationships, maintain contact with preferred customers, follow up on inquiries, and inform guests about promotions, events, and services.
• Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative environment and share information about the guest loyalty program, credit, and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Maintain relationships with Lancôme brand partners by participating in required training and executing in-store events and promotions.
• Collaborate with store managers and associates to help grow the business and participate in ongoing brand and category education.
• Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, and the Ulta Beauty and Lancôme dress code.
• Maintain cleanliness and operational standards for the Lancôme area, testers, demonstration stations, and other assigned store areas.
• Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and shipment processing.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance and complete other assigned operational tasks.
