About The Position

The Specialist – Footwear helps athletes perform at their best by providing knowledgeable guidance focused on fit, performance, and comfort. The role drives sales, supports teammates, and creates a personalized, athlete-first experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented retail environment. The Specialist engages athletes, learns their shopping needs, and provides clear and accurate information about products and assortment while helping maintain an inclusive, welcoming store environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage athletes to understand their shopping needs and deliver an outstanding experience with knowledgeable, accurate product and assortment information.
• Anticipate athlete needs and drive sales through product and service recommendations grounded in an understanding of those needs.
• Assist with onboarding and training new and existing team members as a subject matter expert, focusing on selling skills, best practices, and operational processes.
• Serve as a go-to expert in designated process categories to support smooth execution and high productivity.
• Execute processes efficiently while maintaining an athlete-first mindset, ensuring products are ready for purchase and athletes are engaged appropriately.
• Follow merchandising and presentation standards, including floor set plans, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
• Promote customer participation in company programs, including loyalty programs, warranties, and private-label credit card enrollment.
• Help create a store environment where teammates and athletes are welcomed and treated with respect.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, as well as applicable laws and external guidelines.
