About The Position

The Specialist – Footwear helps athletes perform at their best by providing expert footwear guidance focused on fit, performance, and comfort. The role drives sales, supports teammates, and creates personalized, athlete-first experiences in a fast-paced retail environment. The specialist proactively engages athletes, understands their needs, shares accurate product information, and recommends products and services. They also serve as a subject matter expert in their store area, support team training, execute operational and merchandising processes, and help maintain a welcoming, safe store environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of experience.

Previous retail or customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

Proactively engage athletes to understand their shopping needs and deliver a world-class athlete experience.
Provide clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
Anticipate athlete needs and drive sales through product and service recommendations.
Assist with onboarding and training new and existing team members, focusing on selling skills, best practices, and operational processes.
Serve as a go-to expert in designated process categories to support smooth execution and productivity.
Execute processes efficiently while maintaining an athlete-first mindset; ensure products are ready for purchase and engage athletes appropriately.
Maintain merchandising and presentation standards, including floor-set plans, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
Promote customer participation in company programs, including loyalty programs, warranty sales, and private-label credit card enrollment.
Create a store environment where teammates and athletes are welcome and treated with respect.
Follow safety, loss-prevention, and standard operating procedures, as well as applicable laws and external guidelines.
