About The Position

The Specialist – Footwear helps athletes perform at their best by providing expert footwear guidance focused on fit, performance, and comfort. This role drives sales, supports teammates, and creates a personalized, athlete-first experience in a fast-paced retail environment built on teamwork and service. The Specialist engages athletes, understands their needs, and provides knowledgeable product information and recommendations. They also support team training, store processes, merchandising standards, and a welcoming store environment while following safety, loss-prevention, and operating policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience.

• Previous retail or customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage athletes to understand their shopping needs and deliver an outstanding experience with clear, accurate, and knowledgeable product information.
• Anticipate athlete needs and drive sales through product and service recommendations informed by a deep understanding of those needs.
• Assist with onboarding and training new and existing team members as a subject matter expert, emphasizing best practices, selling skills, and operational processes.
• Serve as a go-to expert in designated process categories to support smooth execution and high productivity.
• Execute processes efficiently while maintaining an athlete-first mindset, ensuring products are ready for purchase and athletes are engaged when, where, and how they want.
• Follow merchandising and presentation standards, including floor-set plans, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
• Promote customer participation in company programs, including the loyalty program, warranty sales, and private-label credit card enrollment.
• Create a store environment where teammates and athletes feel welcome and are treated with respect.
• Follow safety, loss-prevention, and standard operating procedures, as well as applicable laws and external governing guidelines.
