About The Position

Massage Heights is seeking a Spa Director to lead a locally owned massage and skincare Retreat. The role is accountable for Retreat operations, revenue and profitability, inventory, staffing, team development, guest service, marketing, and adherence to the brand’s operating systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about leadership, treats obstacles as learning opportunities, and wants to build a rewarding career while helping the team promote a balanced lifestyle for Members and guests. The Spa Director leads by example, sets and works toward individual and team goals, and provides in-the-moment coaching on the floor. The position also builds guest loyalty, supports the Massage Heights mission and values, organizes local promotional events, generates leads, and develops partnerships with local businesses. The role requires varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

At least 2 years of membership-based service or retail management experience.
Experience managing hourly wage employees.
Leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a self-starter mentality.
Working knowledge of labor and employment laws.
Experience in training, coaching, and conflict resolution.
Ability to build positive employee relationships while managing coaching, mentoring, and discipline.
Working knowledge of computers and standard software.
Basic business math skills.
Financial and profit-and-loss experience.
Ability to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of local and state licensing laws for therapists and estheticians.

Responsibilities

Supervise and be accountable for all aspects of Retreat operations, including revenue, profitability, inventory, and consistent adherence to brand systems and processes.
Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain top talent.
Create and manage team member schedules to support daily operations.
Set individual and overall Retreat goals, develop plans, and put those plans into action to meet or exceed goals.
Lead by example and work toward personal and team goals.
Spend time on the floor providing in-the-moment coaching.
Create an environment focused on excellent guest service.
Build guest loyalty by consistently following the Massage Heights operating system.
Support and implement the brand mission, core values, and strategies to enhance the Massage Heights brand.
Plan, prepare, and execute local promotional events.
Conduct marketing activities to drive leads.
Develop partnerships with local businesses.
