About The Position

The Spa Locker Room Attendant welcomes guests, provides an orientation to the locker room and facilities, and supports a pleasant guest experience throughout the spa and fitness center. The role provides robes, slippers, and lockers; replenishes amenities and towels; maintains clean and orderly facilities; and coordinates with service providers and guests. The attendant also helps uphold and train staff on Forbes and Umstead service standards, stays current on relevant department and hotel developments, and attends meetings and training sessions. Pay range includes gratuities and/or service charges.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to push and pull 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience operating a locker room and facilities area is helpful.
First Aid and CPR training desired but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Welcome and greet each guest and issue a robe, slippers, and a locker.
Provide first-time visitors with an overview and orientation of the facilities.
Replenish guest amenities, products, and towels as needed.
Maintain a presence in spa facilities and act as a liaison between service providers and guests.
Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the spa and fitness center.
Remove used linen and organize and stock clean linen in the locker room and facilities area.
Escort guests to the appropriate lounge for their services.
Check lounges and the meditation courtyard frequently and respond to guest needs.
Adhere to and assist in training new and current concierge staff on Forbes and Umstead service standards.
Stay up to date and become well versed and trained in developments relevant to the department, spa, and hotel.
Attend departmental, spa, and property meetings and training sessions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
