Want to design the future with us? Join our team as a Specialist in Estimation & Feasibility – Transportation and Civil Engineering. EXP has extensive experience in the field of transportation, bridges, and civil engineering. Among other things, we leverage our expertise to serve clients such as the Ministère des Transports du Québec and the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated. In this role, you will be part of the bridges and civil engineering team within our transportation sector. You will work from one of our offices in the Montreal, Sherbrooke, Quebec, Drummondville, Laval, Vaudreuil-Dorion, or Longueuil region (depending on your location) and will have the opportunity to contribute to projects for important clients such as the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable and the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated. You will participate in the development of internal expertise and the consolidation of relationships with our clients. Requirements

  • You have 3 years of experience in estimation in the construction field.
  • You hold a DEC in Estimation or Civil Engineering.
  • You have professional experience in the field of bridges and civil engineering.
  • You are a resourceful, responsible, and organized person.
  • You have good teamwork skills and excellent interpersonal relations.

Nice To Haves

  • If you hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, it will be considered an asset.
  • If you hold the EEC (ICEC) and/or ESCQ (AÉECQ) certification, it will be considered an asset.
  • If you are a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, it will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, feasibility analysis, and cost estimation stages of construction work for transportation and civil engineering projects.
  • Participate in the preparation of plans and specifications for design projects in transportation and rehabilitation of bridges and civil engineering structures according to applicable standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Perform cost analyses of work using a parametric approach or a time and materials approach (production time, resources required, unit price).
  • Evaluate and compare the feasibility, execution methods, and work costs related to various options under study.
  • Perform estimates based on quantity surveys and selected project solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data compilation tools for estimation.
  • Participate in the development of project cost estimation expertise.
  • Present and support cost estimates for work to the project manager and the client.
  • Provide assistance to the designer during the construction phases.
  • Contribute to the smooth functioning of a team of engineers and technicians in project execution.
  • Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues, clients, partner contractors, and representatives of main suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Share knowledge and experience with team members.
  • Act as a technical reference in cost estimation and feasibility.
  • All other tasks related to the job.
