About The Position

This full-time position involves interpreting business requirements and implementing technology solutions. The role serves as a technical lead for enterprise-level projects, analyzing existing application interfaces, schemas, and data needs. The developer will architect and code multi-environment system solutions using .NET, Azure, Power BI, Azure DevOps, and MSSQL. A key responsibility includes contributing to the migration of legacy applications to Azure, involving portfolio assessment, migration planning, and execution. The position also focuses on building and improving CI/CD pipelines, integrating deployment, testing, and observability into the development process. Additionally, the role will contribute to the team’s AI-assisted development practices and coding standards, work closely with business departments to understand operational needs, and develop critical solution components like security, infrastructure, and application interfaces, ensuring all projects exceed industry best practices. Leading and participating in code and design reviews, designing and ensuring unit and integration testing, maintaining communication with the Development Team Supervisor, and creating technical documentation are also key aspects. The role may also involve providing emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of current versions of .NET and MSSQL
  • Experience with enterprise-level development environments
  • Hands-on experience developing for Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, containers, or similar)
  • Working fluency with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
  • Ability to work on projects with minimal guidance from the managers and assume responsibility for the success of the projects
  • Diligent work ethic and the discipline to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in written and interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Positive attitude when working with customers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience modernizing or migrating existing applications is strongly preferred
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (Bicep, Terraform, or ARM) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Interpret business requirements and implement the necessary technology to fulfill requirements
  • Serve as a technical lead for projects at the enterprise level, analyzing existing application interfaces, schemas and data needs

  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, treating deployment, testing, and observability as part of development
  • Contribute to the team’s AI-assisted development practice and coding standards
  • Work closely with business departments to understand the operations behind their requirements
  • Develop critical components of the solution such as security, infrastructure, and application interfaces; develop all projects to exceed industry best practices
  • Lead and participate in code and design reviews
  • Design and ensure unit and integration testing is completed to ensure quality
  • Maintain excellent communication with the Development Team Supervisor on all tasks and projects
  • Create and maintain good technical documentation
  • May provide emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule
