About The Position

The Snack Bar Attendant performs a variety of duties in a fast food or snack bar establishment. Duties may include completing customer transactions, cleaning food or stock areas, assisting in the kitchen, and maintaining inventory. The attendant also performs other responsibilities as directed by the business or management. This is a non-exempt position that typically reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

Interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
Ability to lift or push objects weighing over 40 pounds.
Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, take food orders, provide menu information, and identify opportunities to upsell products.
Operate the cash register, receive cash or credit-card payments, accurately count and provide change, and follow customer-service and cash-handling policies and procedures.
Clean and stock the work area.
Assist with locating, reconciling, and verifying transaction accuracy, and operate equipment with peripheral electronic data processing.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
Assist with kitchen-related functions as needed.
Receive inventory and move and lift food, beverage products, and supplies.
Maintain knowledge of products and services available in the unit.
Follow food-handling procedures, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking product temperatures.
Clean and sanitize the workstation and equipment.
Perform other responsibilities as directed by the business or management.
