About The Position

Southwind, the owner of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchises, is hiring a Site Sales & Laborer for its Field Sales & Service Team in Jacksonville, Florida. This physically active, customer-facing role involves providing on-site estimates, closing sales, and removing unwanted items from homes and businesses. The position calls for ambitious, outgoing, dependable, and physically fit individuals who are committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Team members create memorable customer interactions, lead pricing conversations, provide clear estimates, safely remove junk, and drive, navigate, and operate box trucks; training is provided. The role includes daily recorded role-play scenarios for ongoing training, skill development, and performance improvement. No prior junk removal experience is required. A valid DOT Medical Card is required to drive commercial vehicles, and Southwind covers the full cost of obtaining the DOT Medical Certification. The position is full-time, with four to five shifts per week: one mandatory weekend shift and three to four weekday shifts. Shifts last 8–12 hours and may fall between 6:30 AM and 10:00 PM depending on business needs. Employees must remain available for four weekdays and one weekend day each week. Pay is listed as $23–$30+ per hour, including a $15-per-hour base, profit sharing, and tips; overtime is available as needed. Required uniform items include a brown belt, brown steel-toe boots, navy blue work pants or shorts, and company-provided branded polo, ball cap or beanie, and sweatshirt. Advancement pathways include Certified Sales Leader, Senior Sales Leader, People Development, Operator, and General Manager, with promotion from within whenever possible.

Requirements

A valid DOT Medical Card is required to drive commercial vehicles; Southwind covers the cost of obtaining the DOT Medical Certification.
