About The Position

Southwind, the owners of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, is hiring a physically active, customer-facing Site Sales & Laborer for its Field Sales & Service Team in Jacksonville, Florida. The role combines on-site customer service and sales with hands-on junk removal. Team members provide estimates, lead pricing conversations, close sales, and safely remove unwanted items from homes and businesses. They also drive, navigate, and operate box trucks; training is provided. No prior junk removal experience is required. Daily recorded role-play scenarios are used for training, skill development, and performance improvement. The position is full-time, with 4–5 shifts per week: one mandatory weekend shift and 3–4 weekday shifts. Shifts last 8–12 hours and may fall between 6:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., depending on business needs. Employees must be available for four weekdays and one weekend day each week. Pay is listed as $23–$30+ per hour, including a $15 base rate, profit sharing, and tips; overtime is available as needed. Employees must maintain the listed uniform standards whenever at the office, on or off the clock: brown belt, brown steel-toe boots, navy blue work pants or shorts, and company-provided branded polo, ball cap or beanie, and sweatshirt. A valid DOT Medical Card is required to drive commercial vehicles, and Southwind covers the cost of obtaining DOT medical certification. Advancement opportunities include Certified Sales Leader, Senior Sales Leader, People Development, Operator, and General Manager, with promotion from within whenever possible.
