About The Position
Southwind is hiring an energetic, sales-oriented Field Sales & Service Representative for its 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise group. The role combines customer service, on-site sales, and hands-on junk removal at homes and businesses. Representatives create positive customer experiences, discuss pricing, provide estimates, close sales, and safely remove unwanted items. They also drive, navigate, and operate box trucks; training is provided. This is a full-time position with 4–5 shifts per week, including one mandatory weekend shift and 3–4 weekday shifts. Shifts are 8–10 hours and may occur between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, depending on business needs. Employees must be available for four weekdays and one weekend day each week. Total compensation is listed as $26.00–$29.00+ per hour, comprising a $15.25 base hourly rate, tips, profit sharing, performance incentives, and overtime. No prior junk removal experience is required. Daily recorded role-play scenarios support training, skill development, and performance improvement. A valid DOT Medical Card is required to drive commercial vehicles, and Southwind covers the full cost of obtaining DOT Medical Certification. Uniform requirements include a brown belt, brown steel-toe boots, navy blue work pants or shorts, and provided branded polo, cap or beanie, and sweatshirt.
