About The Position

The South Shore YMCA is hiring a part-time Afterschool Site Coordinator at the Laura Center for the Arts in Hanover. The coordinator leads the planning and overall operation of a high-quality afterschool program, serving participants, families, members, and volunteers while promoting YMCA core values and lifelong learning. This role reports to the SACC Director. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 to 6:00 PM, at 97 Mill Street, Hanover, MA.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must meet EEC experience requirements for working with school-age children: one year with a high school diploma, nine months with an associate's degree, or six months with a bachelor's degree.
Build positive working relationships with staff, children, families, volunteers, and school administrators, and address family concerns professionally.
Must meet EEC Educator Professional Development requirements through the PQ Registry.
CPR and First Aid certification required; training is provided by the YMCA.
Must pass the EEC background check, including fingerprinting.
Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and participate in active and outdoor activities, including swimming.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience with EEC regulations and QRIS.

Responsibilities

Plan and operate the afterschool site.
Maintain EEC licensing compliance and promote YUSA HEPA standards.
Provide reasonable accommodations for children with disabilities in accordance with EEC and ADA requirements.
Supervise program staff and participants in accordance with YMCA policy, EEC regulations, and QRIS standards.
Monitor staff-related EEC, QRIS, and YMCA requirements.
Build relationships with families, respond to inquiries, resolve problems, and engage new families.
Keep facilities and equipment safe, clean, and well maintained.
Engage and work with volunteers.
Assist with YMCA fundraising events and build community partnerships.
