About The Position

The Site Coordinator leads the Lynch/Van Otterloo YMCA’s After School Program for middle school-aged children, creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment. The role oversees daily program operations, supports and coaches staff, and builds relationships with families and school partners. This is a year-round position that continues into the summer, when the Site Coordinator takes on a leadership role in the Y Day Camp program. The position is based at the Lynch/Van Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead, Massachusetts, and offers $22.00–$25.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Must meet EEC qualifications for a Site Coordinator.
• At least 1 year of experience working with school-aged children in a program setting.
• Availability from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Passion for working with children and the community.
• Leadership experience in youth programs, childcare, or camp settings.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with EEC licensing and commitment to safety and inclusion.
• Ability to stay organized, flexible, and upbeat in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with middle-school-aged students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff in delivering high-quality, enriching activities.
• Ensure program safety and compliance with licensed childcare regulations.

• Manage schedules, materials, and administrative needs.
• Mentor and inspire children through play and learning.
