About The Position

The Facilities Technician at the Marblehead YMCA helps maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming facility for members and the community. The role supports the YMCA of the North Shore’s mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility by maintaining the facility and supporting its daily operations. This is a full-time, day-shift position located at the LynchVan Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead, Massachusetts, with a listed hourly salary range of $26.00–$29.00.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED/HiSET, or equivalent experience.
5–10 years of facilities or maintenance experience, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
Knowledge of OSHA and safety compliance standards.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Nice To Haves

OSHA certification and/or trade licenses.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and light construction.
Complete preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
Maintain outdoor grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep.
Assist with aquatics maintenance, including pool systems and water quality.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Conduct facility inspections to support safety and cleanliness.
Track inventory and order maintenance supplies.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
Partner with facility leadership to support daily operations.
