About The Position
The YMCA of the North Shore is hiring a part-time Swim Instructor at the LynchVan Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead, Massachusetts. The instructor teaches children and adults of varying ages and abilities, helping them build swimming skills, confidence, and water-safety awareness. Lessons may be group or private and use the YMCA Swim Curriculum. The role is suitable for candidates who are new to teaching; qualified candidates receive paid training, hands-on experience, shadowing, mentorship, ongoing coaching, and professional-development opportunities. Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Positive attitude, love of the water, and desire to make a difference.
Nice To Haves
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding/Swim Instruction, Pro CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen are preferred, or willingness to obtain them.
- Previous swim-instruction experience is not required; qualified candidates receive paid training.
Responsibilities
