About The Position
The YMCA of the North Shore is hiring Swim Instructors for its Aquatics Team at the Salem YMCA in Salem, Massachusetts. Instructors teach children and adults of various ages and abilities, helping them build confidence, develop swimming skills, and learn water safety. The role offers paid training for qualified candidates, including training in the YMCA of the USA Swim Curriculum, hands-on shadowing and mentorship, ongoing coaching, and professional development. Previous swim-instruction experience is not required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- A positive attitude, love of the water, and desire to make a difference.
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding/Swim Instruction, Pro CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen are preferred, or candidates must be willing to obtain them.

Responsibilities
