About The Position

VetPride Services is seeking a Shuttle Driver to support shuttle operations at the Phoenix VA Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. The complimentary shuttle service is provided for VA employees. The position works Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. VetPride Services prioritizes the recruitment and hiring of Veterans and military personnel.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Subject to pre-employment criminal background and DMV checks.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to respond calmly and professionally when handling conflict.
Consistent attendance and reliability.
Ability to understand, speak, and write basic English.
Ability to work independently within established guidelines, follow directions, and work well with others.
Technical capabilities and basic computer knowledge.
Must possess a smartphone to use Time & Attendance features.
One year of driving experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid, current Commercial Driver’s License with P endorsement.
Valid, current DOT Medical Certificate.

Nice To Haves

Commercial passenger vehicle experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers professionally upon arrival and departure.
Assist customers using wheelchairs or walkers with getting in and out of the shuttle.
Safely operate the shuttle between parking areas and designated stops.
Follow safe driving procedures and safety protocols at all times.
Abide by VA rules and regulations.
Work effectively with other drivers to support a successful transportation schedule.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip shuttle inspections before and after the scheduled shift.
Maintain the shuttle in excellent condition by refueling and cleaning it as needed.
Report to duty in a company-issued uniform and maintain personal hygiene and a professional appearance.
Report issues or concerns to the Site Supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
