Showroom Manager
About The Position
Ferguson is seeking a Showroom Manager for its Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Showroom in Evansville, Indiana. The manager oversees a 7,000-square-foot showroom, directly supervises four associates, and leads the customer service team. The role manages day-to-day showroom operations and works with the Senior Showroom Manager and Showroom Operations Manager on showroom displays, the Clearance Center, revenue growth, margin enhancement, budget targets, and process improvement. The manager also develops the team, supports customers and suppliers, and represents Ferguson at local industry events and meetings.
Requirements
- Prior sales leadership experience is ideal, together with sales and customer service experience.
- Proven ability to build and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
- Ability to initiate and embrace change, mentor, and train others.
- Ability to work across department lines and manage time and people.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to listen effectively, address problems, anticipate issues, and make effective decisions.
- Ability to serve a wide range of customers with varying levels of product knowledge.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in plumbing fixtures, lighting, and/or appliance retail sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day showroom operations, including the showroom team and collaboration with the Senior Showroom Manager and Showroom Operations Manager on displays, the Clearance Center, revenue growth, margin enhancement, budget targets, and process improvement.
- Maintain and develop the team through hiring, mentoring, training, scheduling, setting goals and expectations, and supporting development.
- Supervise daily showroom traffic and sell products including lighting, appliances, and high-end fixtures.
- Handle budget activities and review and manage expenses.
- Assist customers by appointment and as walk-ins.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships, and serve as the first point of contact for addressing and resolving customer complaints.
- Attend industry events and meetings as Ferguson’s local representative.
