About The Position

Denny’s is hiring Short Order Cooks for multiple restaurant locations. The role involves preparing whole meals and coordinating multiple tickets at once to keep the kitchen flowing. Cooks prepare menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while ensuring plates are hot, fresh, and on time.

The position requires safely operating kitchen equipment, following food safety and sanitation standards, and working with servers and kitchen staff to provide excellent guest experiences. The cook is also responsible for keeping their station clean and organized.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to multitask and manage full meal preparation across multiple tickets.
• Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and cooking techniques.
• Team player with solid communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a short order cook, line cook, grill cook, or restaurant cook is strongly preferred.
