About The Position
Denny’s is hiring Short Order Cooks for multiple restaurant locations. The cook prepares complete meals and coordinates multiple tickets at once to keep the kitchen flowing, ensuring that plates reach guests hot, fresh, and on time. The position includes preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrées; safely operating kitchen equipment; maintaining food safety, sanitation, and portion-control standards; and keeping the station clean and organized. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to multitask and manage full meal preparation across multiple tickets.
- Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and cooking techniques.
- Team player with solid communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a short order cook, line cook, grill cook, or restaurant cook is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Cook entire meals simultaneously, coordinating multiple items for each order.
