About The Position
The Server welcomes guests and provides attentive service throughout their visit. The role involves accurately taking orders and communicating them to the kitchen, promptly delivering food and beverages, and helping guests choose menu items through confident recommendations and guiding questions. Servers promote specials, combinations, popular items, and the Denny’s Rewards Program, including its offers, birthday treats, and points toward free meals. The position also maintains an orderly dining room, processes cash, card, and digital payments, and collaborates with front-of-house and back-of-house team members to support smooth service.
Requirements
- Server, waiter/waitress, FOH, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence in upselling, menu recommendations, and guest engagement.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
