About The Position
Denny’s is hiring cooks for multiple restaurant locations. The role may also be described as short order cook, line cook, grill cook, or breakfast cook. The cook prepares complete meals, coordinates multiple tickets, and helps keep the kitchen operating smoothly so food is served hot, fresh, and on time. The position involves preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrées; operating kitchen equipment; following food safety, sanitation, and portion-control standards; and working with servers and kitchen staff to provide a good guest experience. The cook keeps their station clean, organized, and ready for service.
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to multitask and manage full-meal preparation across multiple tickets.
- Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and cooking techniques.
- Team player with solid communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a short order cook, line cook, grill cook, or restaurant cook is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Cook entire meals simultaneously, coordinating multiple items for each order.
