About The Position

Longo Toyota of Prosper is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to handle shipment of goods and supplies for its Parts Department. The clerk works closely with the parts team to ensure packages are sent within designated timeframes. The role is 100% onsite at Longo Toyota of Prosper in Prosper, Texas. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and an acceptable, safe driving record that can be maintained.
• At least 6 months of shipping and receiving experience; experience in a parts department is preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive parts.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages, and the ability to apply them.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow up with internal and external guests.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in English.
• Ability to work well with the public and communicate professionally by phone, internet, and in person.
• Ability to use standard office equipment.
• Ability to frequently bend, stretch, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including low and high temperatures, precipitation, and wind, as well as in noisy environments and small or enclosed spaces.
• Ability to adjust, move, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to move into different positions to accomplish tasks in varied environments, including tight and confined spaces.
• Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods.
• Ability to frequently operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
• Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

Responsibilities

• Count, weigh, or measure items in incoming and outgoing shipments and verify details against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
• Unload or unpack incoming shipments, or arrange, pack, or prepare materials and products for display, distribution, outgoing shipment, or storage.
• Fill product orders according to order tickets and forward or mail items.
• Maintain shipping materials and supplies and replenish assigned inventory.
• Work with parts runners to ensure tires are stocked properly.
• Send package tracking numbers to guests using the company’s software.
• Pull and deliver parts to technicians when necessary.
• Pick up parts from other dealers and vendors when necessary.
• Help the Service Department move cars when necessary.
• Perform administrative functions as directed by management.
• Keep counter areas clean and uncluttered.
• Assist in other areas of the Parts Department as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and high ethical standards.
