About The Position

Empower AI is seeking a Shipping & Fulfillment Coordinator to work in the Shipping and Receiving Facility (SRF) at the Department of State. This role is crucial for managing assets and operations to support the customer's mission of providing IT services to DoS users enterprise-wide. The coordinator will be responsible for all packaging and shipping processes for IT equipment, including shipments to remote and overseas locations, ensuring proper record-keeping for asset transfer and accountability. This includes reviewing bills of lading and packing lists, conducting visual inspections for conformity and damage, and correcting any discrepancies at no cost to the Government. The position also involves performing courier, forklift, and transportation services, providing logistical support for domestic and overseas shipments, and transporting equipment between DoS facilities within the National Capital Region (NCR). Preparation of materials for shipping, based on customer information and inventory review, is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience
• Associate's degree or equivalent
• Secret Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Manage all packaging and shipping processes for IT equipment, including shipments to remote and challenging overseas locations, adhering to customer and DoS regulations.
• Ensure, confirm, and maintain records demonstrating that responsibility and accountability for equipment are properly transferred to the receiving post upon delivery.
• Conduct a review of bills of lading and packing lists as part of receipt and inspection, providing copies of receipt documents monthly to the AAS COR and/or applicable GTM(s) for forwarding.
• Perform a visual inspection of each item for conformity, damage, or prior usage, noting all discrepancies on a Non-Conformance Log for the applicable GTM(s) along with a copy of the bill of lading.
• Correct any discrepancies discovered after receiving inspection at no cost to the Government.
• Perform various courier, forklift and transportation services, including logistical support for domestic and overseas shipments, as well as transporting to/from various DoS facilities within the NCR.
• Prepare materials for shipping based on information from the customer with a copy of the inventory for review prior to shipping.
