About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator ensures that products are packaged, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time to meet customer requirements. The role manages logistics, coordinates with carriers, maintains shipping records, and supports inventory control to help ensure efficient delivery operations, customer satisfaction, and supply chain performance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.
Experience with international shipping.

Responsibilities

Schedule and organize domestic and international outgoing shipments based on production schedules and customer orders.
Select carriers and shipping methods to meet delivery deadlines and cost targets.
Prepare packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels, and export documents, ensuring documentation complies with legal and company requirements.
Work with warehouse and production teams to verify order accuracy and inventory levels before shipment.
Update inventory systems to reflect shipped goods.
Arrange carrier pickups, resolve delays, monitor shipment progress, and track shipments to support timely delivery.
Communicate shipment status to relevant departments or customers.
Ensure shipments meet regulatory requirements, including hazardous-material guidelines when applicable.
Follow company policies and safety protocols for packaging and loading.
Investigate and resolve shipping errors, damaged goods, and delivery issues; coordinate returns or replacements when needed.
Help optimize shipping costs through rate negotiation, carrier selection, and efficient scheduling.
Monitor shipping expenses and assist with budgeting.
Provide shipment updates and delivery confirmations to customers or internal stakeholders.
Assist with customer complaints related to shipping or delivery.
