About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator supports daily shipping and receiving operations at the Souderton, Pennsylvania beef plant. The role ensures orders are documented correctly, completely picked, and loaded on time, while coordinating with warehouse management, load planners, carriers, production, and other shipping staff to keep product moving to customers.

Requirements

Shipping, logistics, or warehouse experience is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with records and documentation.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Clear communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments under time pressure.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.

Experience with order management or warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

Coordinate key shipping and receiving activities.
Work with the Supervisor and warehouse management to ensure product is picked and loaded on time.
Generate order pick sheets from Order Management and Shop-Floor and transfer the information to load diagrams.
Assign work to Pickers using RF scanners and ensure product is fully picked before loading.
Track and update order changes in Order Management and Shop-Floor, including canceled loads, added cases, and loads moved to another day or plant.
Track loads that are carried over or loaded ahead and notify other shipping staff by email.
Compare the Loader's completed load diagram to the order by product code and confirm that it matches both the paper order and what was scanned to the order in Shop-Floor.
Run rotation reports in Shop-Floor on all finished orders and tell the Loader about any changes needed.
Communicate daily with shipping staff, load planners, carriers, and production.
Perform other duties as assigned.
