About The Position

Fresh Ideas Management is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska. The role directs associates’ activities during an assigned shift and oversees completion of job expectations while maintaining company policies and procedures. The supervisor provides training, creates work schedules, evaluates employee performance, and prepares production or sales reports. The position also serves as a contact for employee complaints and time-off requests and may mentor employees and encourage their development. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with evening hours that may vary. Pay is $17.00 to $19.00 per hour. Prior experience supervising a team of five or more employees is required.

Responsibilities

Direct associates’ activities during an assigned shift and ensure assigned job expectations are completed while policies and procedures are maintained.
Provide training and create work schedules.
Evaluate worker performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who do not meet reasonable performance standards.
Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and seek advancement within the organization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
