SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Shift Supervisor directs associates’ activities during an assigned shift and ensures that job expectations are met while company policies and procedures are maintained. The role includes training associates, preparing work schedules, evaluating performance, and preparing production or sales reports. The supervisor supports quality, productivity, and safety standards, responds to employee complaints and time-off requests, and may mentor employees and encourage their development. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full-time position at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. The schedule varies and may include days and nights. The position requires one year of food and beverage experience. The advertised pay range is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. A free meal is listed as a perk. Because this role serves an educational facility, work may be reduced or paused during school breaks; these periods may be unpaid temporary layoffs. Depending on business needs, year-round work may be required, potentially at another location during breaks.
Requirements
- One year of food and beverage experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Direct associates’ activities during an assigned shift and ensure assigned job expectations are completed while policies and procedures are maintained.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate workers’ performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable work-performance standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
- Serve as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
