SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Unidine is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Shift Supervisor directs associates’ activities during a specific shift and ensures assigned job expectations are met while policies and procedures are maintained. The role includes training associates, creating work schedules, evaluating performance, preparing production or sales reports, and supporting employee development. The position pays $23.00 to $24.00 per hour. Shifts are 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; rotating weekends and some holidays are included. Further schedule details are provided during the interview.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of food service leadership experience.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Direct associates’ activities during an assigned shift and ensure job expectations are completed in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate worker performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who do not meet reasonable work standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
- Serve as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
