About The Position

As a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, you will lead with craft and heart to create a warm, welcoming coffeehouse space for the community. You will help make each shift an opportunity to brighten customers’ days and support Starbucks’ goal of crafting coffee and creating meaningful moments. The role includes preparing and coaching the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized customer specifications, directing and coordinating the work of other employees, and meeting store operating standards.

Requirements

At least six months of experience in a position involving constant interaction with customers and fulfillment of their requests.
At least six months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two or more employees.
Ability to direct the work of others.
Ability to learn quickly.
Effective oral communication skills.
Knowledge of the retail environment.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to build relationships.
Availability to work flexible hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Ability to meet store operating policies and standards, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate the work of other employees, including delegating tasks.
Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages according to standard recipes or customized customer requests.
Meet store operating policies and standards for beverage and food quality, cash handling, and store safety and security.
Provide customer service by interacting with customers and fulfilling their requests.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
