About The Position

The Shift Supervisor directs associates’ activities during a specific shift and ensures assigned job expectations are completed while company policies and procedures are maintained. The position is full-time at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Days and hours may vary, and open availability, including weekends, is required. The fixed pay rate is $19.50 per hour. Previous supervisory and Starbucks experience is required; a valid ServSafe certificate is preferred. Uniform is provided.

Responsibilities

• Direct associates’ activities during a specific shift and ensure assigned job expectations are completed while maintaining policy and procedure.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate workers’ performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable work-performance standards.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets expectations for quality, productivity, and safety.
• Serve as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
