About The Position

The Shift Supervisor directs associates’ activities during a specific shift and oversees completion of assigned job expectations while ensuring policies and procedures are maintained. This full-time position is at the Starbucks at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Days and hours may vary, and open availability is required. The role pays $25.00 to $29.00 per hour. Previous supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

Direct associates’ activities during a specific shift and ensure assigned job expectations are completed while maintaining policies and procedures.
Provide training and create work schedules.
Evaluate employee performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who do not meet reasonable work standards.
Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
Serve as the contact person for employee complaints or requests for time off.
Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
