SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor at VCU Health in Richmond, Virginia. The position directs associates’ activities during a specific shift and ensures assigned work is completed in accordance with policies and procedures. The supervisor trains and schedules associates, evaluates performance, maintains unit quality, productivity, and safety standards, prepares reports for management, and responds to associate complaints and time-off requests. The role also includes mentoring and developing employees and encouraging advancement within the organization. Days and hours may vary, and the schedule includes rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Two years of previous supervisory experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of previous food service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct associates’ activities during a specific shift and ensure assigned job expectations are completed while maintaining policies and procedures.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate workers’ performance, reward high performers, and discipline associates who do not meet reasonable performance standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management.
- Ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
- Serve as the contact person for associates with complaints or requests for time off.
- Mentor and develop employees and encourage associates to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
