About The Position

As a Shift Lead at Taco Bell, you lead shifts and help the team meet the company’s standards. You resolve customer concerns, coach and guide Team Members, and partner with the management team on business initiatives. The role is suited to someone who can take ownership and drive results in a fast-paced environment. The stated base pay range for Shift Leaders is $13.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. Team Members may also qualify for shift incentives, discounts, and other benefits under company policies.

Requirements

At least 1 year of restaurant or retail experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Dependable and reliable transportation.
Excellent communication, management, leadership, and organizational skills.
Physical dexterity to move up to 45 pounds from one area to another.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Basic math skills.
Adherence to cash, security, inventory, and labor policies.
Ability to maintain customer satisfaction and follow health and safety standards.
Ability to provide constructive feedback to Team Members and execute shift duties accurately and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

Three months of shift lead experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Execute the MIC (Manager in Charge) Success Routine and prioritize customer needs to support consistent customer satisfaction.
Oversee Team Members’ completion of Shift Excellence tasks and maintain clean, neat appearances.
Ensure food safety, quality, and order accuracy.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and maintain positive customer relations.
Provide regular feedback to the GM on Team Member performance and give Team Members constructive, positive feedback.
Participate in training Team Members.
Handle conflicts constructively and work with the GM toward resolution.
Assist the GM in screening Team Member candidates.
Support Profit & Loss management by following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory, and managing labor.
Oversee product preparation, rotation, portioning, cooking, and holding times.
Assist the GM with facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are followed.
Operate the cash register as needed and make change for other cashiers.
Promote Taco Bell’s culture and values, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and positive experiences for teammates and customers.
Execute shift duties accurately and efficiently.
