About The Position
The Shift Manager oversees daily operations of the beverage department at Border Casino, coordinating staff during assigned shifts and helping ensure exceptional service and a positive experience for guests and team members. The role supervises front-of-house and back-of-house operations, supports a safe and welcoming environment, and maintains company policies, procedures, and service standards. The Shift Manager trains and mentors team members, manages inventory and supplies, addresses guest concerns, and monitors sales and labor costs to improve efficiency and profitability. The position is based at Border Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Work may involve varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a high-volume environment with moderate to high noise and exposure to a smoky environment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain a Gaming license.
- Must be able to obtain an ABLE license.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in the hospitality, beverage, or food service industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the establishment's dress code.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate staff during assigned shifts, including front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Train and mentor team members to uphold service standards and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Manage inventory by ordering and receiving supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and in a timely manner, seeking satisfactory resolutions.
- Monitor sales and labor cost metrics and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and profitability.
