About The Position
The Shift Manager Trainee role is a structured training program designed to be completed within six months, with support from a mentor and trainer. Trainees develop a deep understanding of Wegmans’ values, business measures, standards, and operations in a fast-paced retail environment. Successful completion of the program results in an interview for or placement as a Team Leader.
Requirements
- Customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery, or retail setting.
- Computer skills.
- Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities
- Manage employee performance by providing resources, training, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Provide customer service to customers and employees.
- Help solve operational challenges while maintaining open two-way communication with managers.
