About The Position

The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas in a Papa John’s restaurant to ensure high-quality products and customer service and support restaurant profitability. The role includes managing restaurant operations and executing company policies, procedures, programs, and systems while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices.

The Shift Leader also performs assigned station duties and helps maintain product quality, customer service, shift coverage, performance standards, cash management, and inventory levels. This is complex and challenging work in a fast-moving restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shifts and work areas to support high-quality products, customer service, and restaurant profitability.
• Execute company policies, procedures, programs, and systems, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and ethical business practices.
• Follow station guidelines and techniques, including dough management, accuracy, and proper portioning.
• Perform assigned station duties, prepare products according to procedures, and maintain established product holding times.
• Contribute to achieving company product goals and meet customer needs and expectations, minimizing complaints and responding appropriately to customer needs.
• Follow team-member handbook policies and procedures, including those related to image, attendance, safety, and security.
• Exemplify the company’s Core Values, maintain a positive attitude, work well with others, and adapt to change.
• Ensure adequate shift coverage and provide immediate feedback and corrections when problems are identified.
• Maintain product quality, customer service, and performance standards, including MCE readiness, food and labor costs, and restaurant cleanliness.
• Follow shift-management policies and procedures.
• Contribute to profit goals by staying within company guidelines and target goals and accurately using the FOCUS System.
• Execute cash-management duties.
• Assist in managing inventory levels using company systems and guidelines to minimize loss.
