About The Position

The Assistant Site Manager / Shift Leader works closely with the Site Manager to oversee daily car wash operations, motivate and develop employees, maintain a clean and safe facility, and provide customers with a positive experience. When the Site Manager is off duty, this role leads the overall site operation and ensures business goals and company standards are met. The position is suited to a hands-on leader who enjoys a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or a similar service-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and operate car wash equipment and machinery.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Flexible availability, including opening and closing shifts, weekends, holidays, and other high-volume periods as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous car wash experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support team members to deliver excellent customer service and a positive customer experience.
• Oversee daily operations and run the site in the Site Manager’s absence.
• Supervise, train, and develop Customer Service Associates, provide direction, and address performance concerns.
• Ensure employees follow company procedures, operational standards, and safety guidelines.
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee daily opening and closing procedures and ensure the facility operates efficiently.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the facility, including interior and exterior areas and landscaping, and perform seasonal snow and ice removal.
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support operational and financial goals established by ownership and management.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
