About The Position

The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas in a Papa John’s restaurant to ensure high-quality products and customer service and support restaurant profitability. The role manages restaurant operations by executing company policies, procedures, programs, and systems, while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices.

The Shift Leader performs assigned station duties, maintains product preparation and holding standards, supports customer satisfaction, and helps ensure adequate shift coverage. The role also oversees shift performance, including product quality, cleanliness, food and labor costs, cash management, and inventory, using company systems and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Follow station guidelines and techniques, including dough management, accuracy, and proper portioning.
• Perform assigned station duties, prepare quality products according to procedures, and maintain established product holding times.
• Contribute to achieving the Company’s product goal.
• Meet customer needs and expectations, minimize complaints, and respond appropriately to customer needs.
• Follow Team Member handbook policies and procedures, including those related to image, attendance, safety, and security.
• Exemplify the Core Values, maintain a positive attitude, work well with others, and adapt to change.
• Ensure adequate shift coverage for the restaurant.
• Provide immediate feedback and correct problems when identified.
• Maintain product quality, customer service, MCE readiness, food and labor costs, and restaurant cleanliness within acceptable standards.
• Follow policies and procedures related to shift management.
• Contribute to profit goals by staying within company guidelines and target goals and accurately using the FOCUS System.
• Execute cash management duties.
• Assist in managing inventory levels using company systems and guidelines to minimize loss.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices.
