About The Position

Bruegger’s Bagels is seeking a Shift Leader to help motivate the team and deliver a great guest experience. Working directly with the General Manager, the Shift Leader helps set the team’s morale and tone, provides feedback and coaching to team members, and opens and closes the store with little to no supervision. The role also supports food and beverage quality and maintaining a safe, clean store environment. Bruegger’s describes opportunities to grow into higher-level roles, noting that many General Managers began as Shift Leaders or Team Members. Stores close at 2 p.m., and employees are not required to work past 3 p.m.

The position is at the Bruegger’s Bagels location at 333 Nottingham Road, Syracuse, New York 13210. The listed pay range is $14.57–$21.86 per hour; starting pay is subject to local and state minimum-wage regulations. The duties may change, and the description is not intended to be all-inclusive.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work varied hours and days as business dictates, including early hours (as early as 3 a.m., depending on the restaurant) and weekends.
• Must pass a background check where applicable under local, state, and federal law.
• Must possess or be able to acquire a ServSafe Certification before completing leadership training.
• A current, valid state-issued driver’s license is preferred, but required only at specific locations; candidates must meet driving qualifications required by Company policy when applicable.
