About The Position

The Shift Leader assists with oversight of each shift at WhiteWater Express. The role ensures team members understand and are equipped to perform their daily duties, and assists management with incident reports, equipment maintenance, repairs, and reporting. The Shift Leader also supports a team-oriented, customer-focused workplace; monitors wash equipment and performance; helps maintain safety and service standards; and assists customers with wash products and memberships.

Requirements

• Strong team player with leadership abilities to guide and support colleagues.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including evenings and weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or move for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on high-quality service and safety standards.
• Able to foster a welcoming, fun, customer-focused environment that supports business and team success.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including proper chemical handling.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve concerns, including completing incident reports.
• Monitor and adjust equipment, wash package functions, and tunnel performance to optimize efficiency.
• Uphold company policies, enforce safety protocols, and ensure employees complete required safety training.
• Provide customers with information about wash products, packages, wash books, and membership plans.
• Assist customers with membership account updates and issue resolution.
• Oversee store opening and closing procedures and ensure tasks are completed correctly.
• Learn car wash chemistry and product interactions and understand their impact on wash quality.
• Identify and resolve wash quality issues caused by chemical imbalances or other factors.
• Communicate improvement opportunities for the location, team, and company to management.
• Administer customer feedback surveys during each shift.
