About The Position

The Department of Languages, Literatures, & Cultural Studies invites applications for Sessional Lecturers to teach specific French courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session. The courses include Intermediate French I (FREN 122.3) in Term One and Beginning French I (FREN 103.3) and Intermediate French I (FREN 122.3) in Term Two. These are lecture-based courses with expected enrollment limits of 40 students and are located in Saskatoon. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment. Requirements

  • Minimum of a MA degree or equivalent in French.
  • Teaching experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach FREN 122.3 (01) Intermediate French I during Term One (Sep-Dec 2026).
  • Teach FREN 103.3 (08) Beginning French I during Term Two (Jan-Apr 2027).
  • Teach FREN 122.3 (02) Intermediate French I during Term Two (Jan-Apr 2027).
  • Prepare course materials and mark student work.
