About The Position

The Department of Animal and Poultry Science, College of Agriculture and Bioresources invites applications for Sessional Lecturer positions to teach various courses during the 2026-27 Fall and Winter sessions. These courses are primarily lecture-based and located in Saskatoon. Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • For AREC 254: Completion of CPA.
  • For AREC 428: Familiarity with issues relating to farm and agribusiness management.
  • For AREC 343: Familiarity with grain marketing.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience in a similar area is desirable for AREC 222, AREC 346, AREC 347, AREC 428, AREC 230, and AREC 495.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in management consulting (for AREC 222).
  • Relevant teaching or professional experience (for AREC 254).
  • 5+ years of professional experience (for AREC 346 and AREC 347).
  • Previous experience in grain marketing or teaching experience in commodity marketing is desirable (for AREC 343).

  • Teach AREC 222 (01) Introduction to Farm Business Management during the 2026-27 Fall Session (Term One: September to December).
  • Teach AREC 254 (01) Agribusiness Taxation during the 2026-27 Fall Session (Term One: September to December).
  • Teach AREC 346 (01) Principles of Selling during the 2026-27 Fall Session (Term One: September to December).
  • Teach AREC 347 (01) Agribusiness Marketing Management during the 2026-27 Fall Session (Term One: September to December).
  • Teach AREC 428 (01) Case Studies in Agribusiness Management during the 2026-27 Fall Session (Term One: September to December).
  • Teach AREC 230 (01) Innovation and Entrepreneurship during the 2026-27 Winter Session (Term Two: January to April).
  • Teach AREC 343 (01) Grain and Livestock Marketing during the 2026-27 Winter Session (Term Two: January to April).
  • Teach AREC 495 (02) Agribusiness Venture Management during the 2026-27 Winter Session (Term Two: January to April).
