About The Position

The School of Public Health is seeking Sessional Lecturers to teach various courses during the 2026-2027 Regular and Winter Sessions. These courses cover topics such as Introduction to Health Care Management, Chronic Disease Epidemiology, Clinical Epidemiology, Health Policy and Politics, Pandemic Preparedness Response and Learning, and Comparative Health Systems. Courses will be offered on/offline or as online lectures, with specific schedules and enrollment limits provided for each. A valid driver's license is required for off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional time for preparation and marking. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Public Health (or equivalent Health Sciences area) and teaching experience.
  • A degree in Public Health (or equivalent Health Sciences area) and teaching experience for PUBH 867.3.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off campus courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience in public health is an asset.

  • Teach PUBH 808.3 (01) (W01) Introduction to Health Care Management during Term One (September to December).
  • Teach PUBH 844.3 (01) (W01) Chronic Disease Epidemiology during Term One (September to December).
  • Teach PUBH 845.3 Clinical Epidemiology during Term One (September to December).
  • Teach PUBH 867.3 Health Policy and Politics during Term One (September to December).
  • Teach PUBH 898.3 Pandemic Preparedness Response and Learning during Term Two (January to April).
  • Teach PUBH 852.3 Comparative Health Systems during Term Two (January to April).
